| 6896-120-60 Hotrod - bare, with TT-900: -- This package is a "bare" case for the buyer who has a PS and the case fans - it features all the mods done--punches, grommets, louver removal--but no case fans and no PS. It does include TT-900 fan package installed in the Upper Back.
The 6896-120-60 was the earliest version of the 6896 chassis with the 120 lower front fan and the Upper Back vent. It retained the 60mm exhaust fan. That characteristic allows for a economical upgrade to a hotrod because installing the TT-900 in the upper back doesn't require higher speed fans and/or a drive column 90 fan to provide positive pressure. The interest in this case fell off shortly after the next revision came out--the one with the 90 backboard exhaust. We've been slowly selling the 6896-120-60 version off to buyers seeking a high-performance 6896 case that is economically priced. I only have about six left now, so it's time to get them out.
