This
configuration is the way many buyers get this case:
punches, punch trim, fan grommet mounts, and Panaflo fans.
The airflow is about 111 cfm intake and about 94 cfm
exhaust for a total flow through of 200-plus cfm. Until 3HD hangers are available again,
a second 2HD hanger is added at no extra charge.
The modifications include two column openings and two 90 direct mounts on the 5.25 drive column. These are done with one low on the left side, and one high on the right side, and will allow you to install two 92 mm. fans there at a later date. These mods noticably improve airflow over 80 mm fans in the factory fan cages. They can be used for either intake fans or as exhaust fans--thus creating more cooling flexibility for 5.25 devices and more flexibility in setting up the entire case flow. QUIET CONFIGURATION OPTIONS: We've added two new variations to this package: first is the ability to order the fans set up with 7-v tails - the normal 4-pin (Molex, PS) pass-through tails, connected for 7-v. operation. Your cost is $1.00 extra per fan. The second one is much more interesting and flexible--you can now get a 3.5" / four-pot controller installed and the fans hooked up to it. The fan tails are lengthed and installed in a detail-wired manner along the chassis edges, etc., and then connected to the controller--it's a 'turnkey setup'; all you need to do is plug in the PS lead for powering the entire fan setup off one lead. The installed controller is silver in color, and installed in the 5.25 bay of your choice using a floppy 5.25>3.5 adapter. Add-on cost varies; e-mail me for details.
