FS020 stock case upgrade: To the 'factory pack,'
we have simply added the Lite-On 300w. PS, removed the
Nidec 120x25 factory and installed two quiet fans--one in
the lower front and one in the Upper Back. The fans are
JMC 1225Ls; the airflow is about 61 cfm intake and about
90+ cfm exhaust. Short of using an Enermax 'FC' PS,
this is about the quietest setup you can do in a stock
box.
Note: If
you have one of the latest CPUs, the standby voltage of
the Lite-On 300w. PS may not be sufficient to boot.
On the positive side, a readily-installed option can
be casters--the Addtronics standard casters drop right in
to the existing foot mounts. |
