ABOUT PDI/COOLCASES.COM
SO WHO DID YOU E-MAIL TO? jfhanson@hansonslan.org / jfh@coolcases.com is Jim (James F.) Hanson. I own Program Development, Inc., a Small Office computer support business serving customers in the Minneapolis-St. Paul West Suburban area.
Because of my own abiding interest in computer hardware and especially computer cases, I also sell cases, power supplies, case parts and accessories for the pc enthusiast. Those sales are done 'by e-mail' under the trade mark coolcases.com.

I hope that the above information is sufficient to establish my credibility for business purposes. E-mail, FAX, or call me if you have any additional questions.
Coolcases.com has rapidly become the dominant part of my business, and I am determined to grow it slowly and carefully. However, be forewarned that you are dealing with a truly small business--there is, at this time, only one full-time employee--me.
I am the one doing the e-mailing, taking orders, and 'running the business.' You deal with the owner here, not one of a number of salesmen. Like you, I am a hardware geek, and everything I sell I use or have used, and the products are chosen by me.
There are other part-time helpers--Nik, Alex, Joe, Bruce, Tim, and Matt. The seven of us are the ones who process the orders: Nik and Tim are now the 'lead' workmen, but any of us can prepare your shipment and get it ready to go, from the basic case order to the most completely-modified hotrod. We also do the shipping.
Stacey is the part-time bookkeeper. As she helps me organize and get the office/management side of this operation up to speed, either she or I will probably be the one answering the phone. BTW, we do try to answer the phone if we are in the office. You really are best off e-mailing me to work out an order, but I will take calls--I just don't encourage you to work with me that way--because I talk too much; orders by phone can take much longer than you might expect.
I have been selling cases over the internet and by e-mail for two years now. We have established a decent reputation, I think, and I have fairly well sorted out how to business. The site is about to be expanded dramatically with new case information and a simple storefront to handle the needs of the unmodified case buyers. The storefront selection will be added to as we get the hang of it, and I am determined to add new products as services for the case geek as well--but all in good time.
I suspect that my own style in doing business is somewhat arcane in today's hyper-commercial market. The policies that follow reflect my attitudes and ideas about what constitutes the way two people should conduct a business transaction.
