report web site problems

...and, as some of you know, my convalescense has continued well into October and November. Up to today, I have kept the site functional, even if I've been unable to respond in a timely manner.
We're now going to start rebuilding and updating the site. Lian Li PC-7Plus packages will be available; e-mail for details. And, we're back to attempting to locate a suitable basic case like the IC-8000, only without the left side "Prescott" mods.
On November 23rd we made some changes to our DSL and Telco services. The two previous numbers--763-479-6248, 763-479-3099--are no longer in use by us. For phone calls, please use 763-479-2895; you'll get a tape if we don't answer.
And, for the moment, please copy any correspondence you send to us at jfh@coolcases.com to jfhanson@hansonslan.org. That should ensure I see it in a timely manner.

Well, that planned absense of ten or so days ended up being stretched out to nearly the whole month. By way of explanation--surgery recovery took longer than I had anticipated.
As of today, September 1st, I have been able to get back to the desk for a couple hours' work each day, and have cleaned out the junk e-mail. Now we're working on the order shipments and correspondance.
If you've placed an order in the month of August, and have not received the order or an e-mail comment from me on the order, e-mail again.
Thanks for your patience; we should be pretty well up to speed by Tuesday, September 6th.

I'm going to be away from the computer for about ten days. During that period we will continue to ship our orders-in-process, but we will not be processing new orders or answering e-mail--
Thanks for your patience; see you about the 15th of August!

Here's Virtual Hideout's 6A19 insulated case review.
Note that you can get the case with any of our other fan packages as well. Although not mentioned in the review, the price is $159.99. Until we get the new storefront set up, you can order it conveniently by just ordering a factory pack and then put a COMMENT in the e-commerce comments field.

Look for a double case review on VirtualHideout.net before long.
We sent Diceman a Thermaltake Tsunami and a Compucase LX-6A19 a while ago, and I think he will be getting them up shortly. Once they are up, I'll put a hot link to them here...
The Globe fans appear to be no longer available, although we're trying to buy them direct from Globe to continue their availability.
Meanwhile, the new Enermax 120x25 fan will be in stock. It's a premium-grade fan similar in spec to the Globe, but includes the manual-speed adjustment of the Enermax "UC" fans.

OVERDUE NEWS
Cases: The Thermaltake Tsunamis are in stock, both silver and black. The recommended mods for them follow the list of Compucase LX-6A19 mods.
We're also looking the stock the Kingwin 424 aluminum cases soon--a complete range of mods from M1 through M3, complete with windows, has been sorted out for them.
case insulation. We will now be doing insulation installation on the cases we sell, for those of you seeking super-quiet operation. e-mail for detail...
New Fan Products: The JMC 120x25 special low noise fan is no more, and to replace it we're carrying the Evercool 120x25 that's rated at 79 cfm, 29.5 dBA.
We've added the AOC-Evercool aluminum product line. They look really spiffy in the aluminum cases, and when combined with a controller or 7v installation, run very quietly.
Panasonic-AEG Panaflo fans continue unchanged, but we'll be updating the fans page to include fan connector selection. You can get them with 1) a two-wire lead, 2) a standard 10" 4-pin lead, 3) standard 10" 3-pin (mbd) 4) a 4-pin 12v pass-through lead, or 5) a 4-pin 7v pass-through lead. Until the order page reflects those changes, just confirm your connector selection in the "comments" field of the e-commerce order process.
PSUs: The SPI-350/120 (FS-SPI350-60HN) has been replaced by the Works Power W64BF-SBL. It's a clone of the SPI, but rated at 400w, and with a black case and LED 120 fan. It's a nice complement to one of the aluminum cases.
ACCESSORIES: The Mitron 5.25 controller-switch assembly is in stock in silver or black. It's great for simple hookup for up to six fans in three zones, and up to two lights, all controlled in one panel.
FUTURE PRODUCTS: We expect to be introducing the coolcase brand of case-mod accessories over the next few months. Stay tuned....

The Thermaltake Tsunami cases are here. We're still "digesting" them in person...and I am enormously impressed. Rather than doing it as a flashy "full value" case, the product quality is high, and well done.
The LX-6A19 mods all apply, and a modified package is going off to Virtual Hideout for review ASAP.
Those of you with reservations will be updated by e-mail on shipment--but they should start leaving before the end of the week.
Look for a storefront ordering page in the next day or so--just as fast as we can get it up. Price is $129.99 plus frt.

The Thermaltake Tsunami will be stocked as soon as the load can come from them--ETA is about two weeks, I think.
We're getting samples in for modification analysis and pictures for our site files, but the modifications packages should be virtually identical to the LX-6A19. It is, after all, an aluminum version of that case package.
Because of the extreme popularity and pre-sales buildup, we'll be taking reservations for orders. (Cards will not be charged until the actual cases are in transit or have arrived here.)

SilentPCReview.com has posted a very comprehensive review of the PC-610 here
The review covers both the Globe 120x25 fans and the "Mods 2B" package--the addition of a 120 intake fan over the Left-side AGU-memory area.
BTW, you can also order this package without fans with the JMC/Panaflo or Enermax UC fan configurations. The PC-610 ordering page will be updated to provide all these variations in the next few days.

Our e-mail/main business computer has been hit by a virus or trojan horse that is apparently unknown. I will send NO e-mails until we have that eliminated.
However, there is no problem receiving orders. So, go ahead and order OR address inquiries to my alternate e-mail address- jfhanson@hansonslan.org
On a more pleasant note, all orders are caught up, and we should have a turnaround time of three-four days or so.

Happy New Year!
I like to extend my 'thank yous' to those of you who were patient for the past few months, and to those of you who have expressed condolescences; your thoughtfulness has been appreciated.
As the new year begins, we're basically caught up, and the e-mail backlog should disappear in the next week or two.
There should also be new product announcements coming yet in January, including several case accessory items manufactured under our own trade name.
As always, any questions, just e-mail...

Sun, Nov 30th 2003
Our fabrication, shipping, and e-mailing has been increasingly erratic for the past month or so. However, nearly all backlogged orders are caught up, probably by Wednesday, December 3rd.

Panaflo 120L1As (HYDRO-WAVE,p/n FBA12G12L1A) are back in stock here--and coming to other better enthusiast sites soon as well!
AFAIK, all backorders for them left no later than today, USPS Priority.
We'll update the site soon to show four different tails and connectors--bare, 3-pin (mbd), 4-pin (PS), and 4-pin pass-through. The 4-pin pass-through is available as a 12v or 7v connector.
Sun, Oct 12th 2003
OK, there's a bunch of new information--check out the new 'modified cases' page! It's on the links text row right above this window...
The links all work, AFAICT; but feel free to e-mail me with any problems...

we've been updating like crazy here, but it is not noticable yet. To see the latest configurations, do this:
1) go to the storefront
2) from the storefront, select a link for the case you're interested in
3) at the case storefront page, select details--there are pages and pages in the details files.

Samples of new cases and configurations will be going out to reviewers over the next couple of weeks, I think. And, we're finally ready to start marketing the AMS cases with storefront offerings; watch for them soon.

I really should update more, shouldn't I?
At any rate, the Chenbro order arrived late Tuesday, July 8th. Since then we've been busy processing the back orders from that slow delivery AND getting out the normal incoming orders. We plan to be back up to a normal three or four-day turnaround by Monday or Tuesday at the latest.
We've also posted new packages and pricing for the JUNIOR and the GENIE, but I did not get the new detail files for them done yet. The GENIE is finally available to us at a lower cost, so the packages using that become an even better value.
We've also got the details sorted out to install the turnkey fan controller configurations for most of the cases now. As we work these into the product listings, you'll be able to select either a 5.25 or 3.5 controller and get the a completely-installed setup; just plug in your power...
I'll be doing orders and e-mails again over the weekend, so if you have a question, just e-mail.

3. MFPs (multifunction panels) are now available for 5.25 bays and for 3.5 bays in both black and beige.

I have just been advised by Antec-Inc., that to refer to the 'D8000' case we are selling as a "SLK-3700 clone" or any other such references constitutes trademark infringement, and that they "...demand that [coolcases.com] immediately cease infringing our name and trade names for any reason, and immediately cease using Antec product model names and numbers (such as SLK-3700) for products not manufactured or supplied by Antec."
I have just e-mailed agreeing to comply with their demand. All earlier news updates about our new 'D8000' product have been edited to remove such references.

Most of the site photos were completed yesterday, and the pages are being built. They should be up in a few days....
For now, e-mail for details--I've got some boilerplate for D8000 configurations done, and can answer pretty promptly.
